NCH featured in article about heli-skiing in Alaska Air Magazine

Tuesday, December 1st, 2009

Thanks to Crai Bower, Ray Johnston and Chase Jarvis for thier kind words about us in a recent article about heli-skiing that ran in November’s Alaska Airlines Magazine. “North Cascade Heli is totally under-rated,” says adventure photographer Chase Jarvis, who, like Ray Johnston, grew up skiing in Western Washington. “Last time I went out to shoot with [owner] Paul Butler, we enjoyed 25 inches of fresh snow over two days. The North Cascades are like a mini-Alaska.”

We could not agree more! The full article is attached.

NCH in the press

Thursday, October 22nd, 2009

We’re always stoked to see kind words about us in the press, and thanks to Matt Harvey of Freeskier Magazine for the write up in the November Issue (which starts on page 48). We’re not sure where the pink flamingo came from, but the shots by Bryn Hughes are amazing. Here’s little taste Matt wrote last year while they were and some images from Bryn below. Be sure to check out the article on Michelle Parker as well for some action shots at NCH.

Free Skier DaKine Crew rolls the dice, and comes up big

Monday, March 2nd, 2009

Thanks to Randy Torcom, our partner at DaKine, for assembling a crew of consisting of Eric Pollard, Chris Benchetler, Sammy Carlson, and Michelle Parker, along with Freeskier writer Matt Harvey, photo-guy Bryn Hughes and cine-guy Ike Smith and coming out for a whirlwind 4 day session. 4 days in February, as any film crew can tell you, is a bit of a roll of the dice, especially when you add in the need for good shooting conditions. You can read more of their story here. And for the record, there are other ways to get the blue to come…

Thanks to Michelle Parker for the photos, will post em up when we get more in.
