Looking toward 2017

Monday, May 16th, 2016

Beautiful days here this past month in our little slice of paradise known as the Methow Valley. As the mountain snow has rapidly, at a disconcerting pace, melted off and we have enjoyed some unprecedented warm spring weather, we cannot help but look forward to next winter already. That is just the way we are, and many of our guests are of the same attitude as well. Let’s face it, we have a hankering for cold temps, untracked powder and snowy mountains, not to mention flying around in helicopters and enjoying great times with friends and family. We plan to operate from January 13th to March 26th, 2017.

What’s this all mean? Well, the significance is let’s start making plans to shred in 2017. Give us a call. We’re here all summer. Got some if you need it.

Holy cold smoke, what a shot

It’s that bittersweet, but mostly sweet, day after the lest day of scheduled operations for the 2016 season. It was a busy last week with TGR filming out here- we’re looking forward to seeing the NCH segment featuring Dash Longe, Nick McNutt and Dane Tudor.

We’d like to thank all of our guests for making the trip to the end of the road here in Mazama to ski or ride with us- it was a safe and successful one! We’d also like to thank our partners at JR Heli, the Freestone Inn, the Mazama Store, Goat’s Beard Mountain Supplies, as well as our sponsors K2 Skis and Snowboards, BCA, Helly Hansen and Julbo.

Big snow day in Mazama

Tuesday, November 17th, 2015

Despite the forecast for 1-3 inches of snow followed by rain, we have lucked out here in Mazama and now have almost two feet of the white stuff out in open areas. Up at Washington Pass, the telemetry is showing over 50 inches of snow!!
What a great way to start out the season with a nice solid base.
If you haven’t made plans for a visit to our area and enjoy some helicopter-assisted powder turns in this stunning range of mountains, give us a call.
