Snow up high!

Mother nature has dusted the North Cascades for the first time this fall and the mountains now have a coat of white from about 5,000′ up. Cold temps are here for the foreseeable future, so hopefully the snow will stick around.

While it’s still summer here in Mazama, we’re getting cold temps at night and can feel winter right around the corner. La Nina is expected to make another showing this year, according to Larry Schick, the Grand Poobah of Powder over at He was right on last year, so get those skis and boards waxed up and those legs ready for some riding.

Our friends at Teton Gravity Research are counting down the days until the September 20th world premier of their new film Under the Influence, featuring footage shot during their stay with us this past season. We’ll be at the Seattle showing at Neumos on November 14th, so come on by and say hi.
