New K2 toys at the heli barn this winter

Monday, October 27th, 2008

Nothing says getting ready for the season like a new line up of sliding toys (except maybe the the day the heli arrives).

This year we’re proud to announce that we have expanded our partnership with the kind folks at K2 to include a line up of demo snowboards, designed for the deep pow and now available for our guests to use as a part of their program. This year we’ll have 5 Gyrators (from 158 to 168), a 164 Zeppelin, as well as the women’s specifc Duchess in a 154 and 157 length. We’ll have a mix of Men’s Auto Ever and Women’s Agogo evers bindings to use as well.

For skiers, we’ll have an expanded range of Apache Coombas, women’s specific Phat Luvs and the much-loved Pontoons, as well as several pairs of the new Obsetheds and Hellbents. All these feature Marker bindings. Needless to say, these skis rip and are available for our guests to use as part of their program.

Let it snow, let it snow.

Yurt videos from 08

Tuesday, October 21st, 2008

For those of you interested in our yurt, here’s some videos a guest shot last season that shows some of the terrain around the yurt.

This short one is the NE Face of Tamarack Peak- a favorite line:

This one shows Some nice shots off both sides of Buffalo Ridge (right above the yurt) with a sweet musical score…

Here’s a small sampling of what others have had to say about riding with NCH.

Looks like a summer well spent down under and in South America- webisode from Nimbus Independent has just dropped:

Hopefully, the snow will keep coming and we’ll doing some riding of our own soon.

Seth Morrision footage shot at NCH

Monday, October 13th, 2008

TGR posted this clip of Seth Morrison stomping a monster back flip during their visit out here last season. Pretty sick:

We’re looking forward to seeing the entire film- come join us at the Seattle show on November 14th or at the Twisp River Pub on December 9th.

More powder stoke

Monday, October 13th, 2008

Looks like the first honest snowfall of the season is here to stay- the North Cascades are covered with a coat of white- and clouds, which means more snow! Light snowshowers are expected this week, so hopefully we’ll be getting that base built soon.

Here are some photos from a trip up to the pass to play in the snow last week.

Snow down at 5,477\'!

Meanwhile, down at the hairpin

On another note, we’ll be in the office this week, M-W, 9 AM to 1 PM if you need to get a hold of a live person.
