LOCATION & TERRAIN
The North Cascades of Washington state, also known as "The American Alps," are the most glaciated peaks in the continental U.S. Our location in the northeast corner of this range is a unique combination of longitude, latitude and altitude, giving us some of the finest snow conditions available anywhere.
The 300,000 acres of the North Cascades offer exquisite steeps, glades, ridge runs, open cruisers and northern powder bowls to die-hard ski fans.

North Cascade Heli, founded in 1988, is based out of the Wilson Ranch in Mazama, Washington. This area in the upper reaches of the beautiful Methow Valley is well known and highly regarded for its quality winter recreation opportunities. Many of our guests enjoy the rustic luxury and relaxing amenities of the 120-acre ranch's twelve-bedroom Freestone Inn or individual cabins.
North Cascade Heli, this place is pretty much epic.

Within our 300,000-acre permit area on the Okanogan-Wenatchee National Forest, we can access a vast number of runs starting at altitudes between 7,000 to 9,000 feet. The vertical drop on our designated runs ranges from 1,500 feet to 4,000 feet. The terrain is an amazing potpourri of open bowls, steep glades and excellent tree skiing surrounded by immense granite cliffs and spires.
I have spent my whole life skiing and since becoming a photographer I am able to travel the world chasing snow. North Cascade Heli has the unique combination of great snow that falls onto spectacular terrain. The days I spent here were some of the best skiing I have ever experienced. The guides were great and Seamus the pilot is as good as they get.
