GETTING HERE

The Freestone Inn and our heli base are located near Mazama, Washington, 15 miles northwest of Winthrop, on State Route 20. Remember, SR-20 is closed from the west over Washington Pass from mid-November to mid-April, so winter access is from the South and East. Driving times are approximately 5 hours from Seattle, 3.5 hours from Spokane, 2.5 hours from Wenatchee and 8 hours from Portland.

Driving directions from Winthrop

From Winthrop, follow the signs to Mazama on SR-20. The Freestone Inn is located 1.5 miles west of the Mazama Junction. The heli barn is located on the cabin loop, just past the Inn proper.

Arriving via Wenatchee by air

For guests arriving on commercial airlines, frequent flights connect Seattle with Wenatchee. From Wenatchee, ground transportation to the Freestone Inn is available via Mountain Transporter, telephone 509 996 8294 or cell 509 322 6330.

Arriving via Winthrop/Twisp by air
