The North Cascades of Washington state, also known as "The American Alps"

The North Cascades of Washington state are the most glaciated peaks in the continental U.S. Our location in the northeast corner of this range is a unique combination of longitude, latitude and altitude, giving us some of the finest snow conditions for heli-riding available anywhere. Within our 300,000-acre permit area on the Okanogan-Wenatchee National Forest, we can access a vast number of runs starting at altitudes between 7,000 to above 8,000 feet. The vertical drop on our designated runs ranges from 1,500 feet to 4,000 feet. The terrain is an amazing potpourri of open bowls, steep glades and excellent tree skiing surrounded by immense granite cliffs and spires.

Our Terrain

Runs start between 7,000 to above 8,000 feet and pick-ups are at 5,000 feet - we consistently ski fresh, dry powder, and our terrain rarely experiences the rain events that can hit the lower elevation ski areas. Runs range from 4,000 to 1,500 feet with the average at 2,000 feet. Terrain ranges from big alpine to skiing glades and trees - something for everyone!
