Details

Our cozy Barron Yurt is nestled deep in the North Cascades of Washington State just north of Hart's Pass at 6,000 feet surrounded by rugged peaks, diverse terrain, and complete solitude. This location is blessed with abundant annual snowfall. On day one we fly our guests and their gear to the yurt by helicopter, unload and often begin touring right away. We tour out the front door and lap up fresh tracks all day in various zones generally within 20-45 minutes of the yurt. Evenings are spent relaxing, eating delicious meals, and enjoying all of the creature comforts of our ultra comfy yurt. On the final day our guests often find it difficult to leave and return to reality. Escape to the Barron Yurt and discover why this trip sells out so quickly every year!

Terrain

The yurt is completely surrounded by excellent ski and splitboard touring terrain with bowls, glades, trees, powder fields and chutes on all aspects including north and west facing. Runs are between 800 and 1,500 vertical feet. Terrain varies from low angle to steep, so there is something for everyone and plenty of safe terrain during all weather and avalanche conditions. The marquee objective is Tamarack Peak directly behind the yurt. Tamarack can be skied on almost all aspects after a 30-minute skin from the front door. Buffalo Pass ridge, on the other side of the valley from Tamarack, offers numerous options on both sides of the ridgeline - this terrain is also a 30-minute skin from the front door. Many more terrain options are available in the vicinity, and our knowledgeable and experienced guides will deliver you to the goods.
